Our Story

 

Our founder was inspired to create Greener Forest Initiative after her camping trip in Yosemite National Park, where she witnessed the historic California wildfire crisis and its cascading environmental effect.

She founded Greener Forest Initiative with a simple mission to restore US National Forests and Grasslands by planting a tree for every order.

Through the partnership with National Forest Foundation, as of today, we have planted 3962 trees.

Our Farming Practice 

 

 

We strongly condemn the poaching of plants or wild collection. We propagate our own plants and organically grow them in small batches instead sourcing our plants from external growers. All of our plants are locally grown in a certified nursery in Dallas, Texas.

 

We grow houseplants that we love; we never use synthetic chemical sprays or GMOs. Our curated houseplant selection is pet-friendly and low maintenance. We take great pleasure in sharing beautiful, healthy houseplants with other plant lovers around the country. We hope you find value in knowing that your purchase comes with our seal of approval.

 

We are plant lovers too so we want our plants to thrive in their new homes. We offer a 14-day warranty on all of our plants and provide lifetime customer support. You can reach out any time with any and all of your plant care questions!

 

Our Shipping Philosophy

 

We know that shipping has a big impact on the environment, and strive to reduce our footprint. Our shipping practices reflect Greener Forest Initiative' commitment to sustainability. Here's what we do:

• 100% Carbon Neutral Shipping: We work with our shipping carriers to offset the carbon emissions from every delivery, which means that we (not you!) pay an extra fee so that each and every box we ship out is carbon neutral. 

• Eco-Friendly Packaging: We try to make the most amazing unboxing experience you can have, while making as little environmental impact as possible. We're committed to minimizing our reliance on single-use plastics, and to keeping what little plastic we do use out of the landfill. Most of our packing materials (tape, shipping box, shredded paper, tissue paper, packing peanuts…) are recyclable and biodegradable. 

 

We are not perfect, we’ll probably make some mistakes along the way, but we'll apologize profusely, learn from them, and do better. We promise to continuously work towards our mission for greener thumbs, greener minds, and a greener world.
