WHAT IS GROWER'S CHOICE ?

Unless otherwise specified in the listing description, all of our plants are "grower's choice" means that you are buying a plant that is similar to the stock photo in terms of plant size and color level.

All plants are different, just like us. There can, and will be, differences in color, size, growth, and maturity. We will always do our best in sourcing and growing the highest quality plants for you, but there definitely will be variations. Uniqueness in nature is a beautiful thing!

GREENHOUSE TOUR & LOCAL PICK UP ?

Our greenhouses are not open to the public and we do not have a retail store.

We are located in the Dallas, Texas area but ship nationwide. Ordering is only available online and all orders will be shipped to your mailing address. Thank you in advance for understanding.

Hoya australis has broad, shiny leaves which emerge along wild, winding tendrils. A vigorous grower, we've found this Australia-native to be very easy to grow and happy as a hanging plant or winding up a trellis. Like all Hoyas, the australis has waxy leaves and produces clusters of star-shaped flowers. But unlike all some Hoya, the flowers of Hoya australis – creamy white with burgundy centers – are quite fragrant! A new favorite in the genus.

PLANT CARE

Water: Once a week. Let soil dry out completely between waterings.

Humidity: Tolerates standard household humidity

Family: Apocynaceae

Native Origin: Asia and Phillipines

GROWING INDOORS

Hoyas are simple plants to grow indoors. These tropical succulents require bright, indirect light to produce their stunning blooms & keep the plant nice and full. These plants are sensitive to direct sun and overwatering. Let your Hoya dry out between waterings. We recommend using very porous and well draining soil mix. If you notice the leaves on your Hoya wrinkling, it's time to water.

GROWING OUTDOORS

Hoya will need to be kept in the shade outdoors. Allow the soil to dry out in between watering. Avoid freezing temperatures, these plants thrive above 55 degrees fahrenheit.

WHAT TO EXPECT

You'll get a healthy Hoya Australis that meets our rigorous quality standards in a 4" or 6" nursery pot. No two plants are alike, and yours will have its own unique shape, size and personality; expect this natural variation from the photos.
